The Tampa Water Department delivers up to 82 million gallons of clean, safe drinking water every day for close to 717,000 people in our 220-square-mile service area. For over 130 years, we have remained steadfast in our mission to provide safe, sustainable water services for the residents and businesses in our growing community.

Water is a precious resource that we cannot take for granted. The Tampa Water Department is committed to protecting and preserving our water resources, to better secure the well-being of our community and local environment for generations to come. To this end, we implemented a Water Conservation Program in 1989 that has since expanded into a multi-faced effort. This program has played a key role in successfully helping our customers to reduce their water use and save money on utility bills.
