How to Become an Approved Contractor
Licensed irrigation contractors can become approved by attending a one-day training. This free training is taught by irrigation experts from the University of Florida, the Florida Irrigation Society and Tampa Bay Water Wise. This training focuses on best practices for installing smart irrigation controllers.
At least one person from a company needs attends the free training. All other employees who install devices in association with the rebate must be trained by the employee who attended or watch a recording.

Please note, to avoid citation from your local water utility, local watering restrictions always apply, regardless of controller type and technology.
